We had the dealership replace the filter. Since then the front blower is not blowing air either cold or heat. The rear one seems to work fine.

SOURCE: 2003 chevy tahoe no rear heat
I know the earlier tahoe's have two heater lines running from the engine compartment to the rear under the vechile. Those lines could be clogged or pinched shut. What you do is get two hose locking pliers. Go under your truck, they are two metal lines that turn into rubber and back into metal again farther down the line. First, checked for pinched lines. If none, find where the rubber hoses are, clamp them off, remove from metal lines and drain. Use garden hose to flush fresh water through. When water comes through at high pressure and pretty clear, it should be done. Reconnect hoses, top off radiator fluid and it should be fine.

sounds like a damper door in the front not working properly, these are actuated by the front temp control, the door is operated by either a manual cable, and electric actuator, or vacuum. I hope this helps you zero in on your problem. Merry Christmas

you may not have enough refrigerant. a low charge can cause the rear in this dual system to not work for beans. charge with a can of uv and find the leak. fix the leak. evac the system and recharge. i think you take 4 lbs, but check the accumulator sticker. you may want to just change the accum at the same time.

SOURCE: Front Blower
ok, missed the part about the rear ac working, the part that causes this is called the air temperature control blend door actuator motor, it is an electric motor driven gear drive that moves the plastic door inside the air ducking to mix or shut off the hot or cold air from the ac evaporator core or the heater core, you will need to replace it.

Testimonial: "Great thanks that could be my problem. Is the motor by the inside coil"
SOURCE: The heat in the front
The blend door actuator is the most likely cause. It is on the front of the heater box under the dash and looks like the picture below and #14 on the system exploded diagram. Remove the actuator, plug it back into it's cable, turn the key on and change the temperature setting to see if the actutor turns. If not, replace the actuator.
