I turned the blazer off while in drivethru line up. when i tried to start it she wouldn't start but it was trying to turn over. BCAA sent a tow truck and the driver said fuel pump, he tapped on it and she started up so i was able to get home but she hasn't turned over since and the security light is flashing, something it has never done. any idea's besides it being fuel pump. a friend suggested it may have a security lock and thats why it wont start
Does sound like the fuel pump if it started after tapping on it,but the security light is a different problem. That will also kill the fuel, but if you drove it home, that problem must have started after you got home. Not sure what year it is but if it has a chip in the ign. key,try a different key,if there is no chip run the pass key relearn .
Takes about a half hour, make sure the battery is fully charged and try to kill the daytime running lights if possible,(maybe set the parking brake, some trucks that shuts off the DRL)
Then crank the engine, leave the key on(as if it was running) after about 10 min the security light should go out. When it does turn the key off and crank it again, same deal, key left on for 10 min. till the light goes out. Have to do this 3 times ,should start on the 4th attempt. That will reset the security , but if the pump is bad it still may not start, the security light should be out tho.
When the pumps wear out the brushes you can get them to run once or twice by tapping on the tank, sometimes, but it sounds like a pump as in order.

2000 chevy blazer, fuel pump runs and turns off when presurized, truck turns over and want to start but will not run. Any suggestions?
SOURCE: turns over but wont start
you need to find out if your missing spark at plugs or fuel pressure, you could hear the pump but that doesn't tell you if you have 5psi or 55psi,
you will need a fuel preesure gauge and check that on the fuel rail redd valve if you end up having spark

What about the fuel filter????? Have you changed it out??? If you can spary something like a started fluid, that means it is a fuel problem. My last check, it has to be above 50-psi on the fuel pressure to make it run right. I had 35psi, but whould not get over 30mph or down hill maybe 45mph. Check both filter & pressure, but check pressure with a New fule filter!!!!

Have you checked the codes?
Mine was a faulty coil.... Twice. I made a heat shield for the second one.

have the computer checked out. may need reprogramming and have updates added. also check for loose or corroded connections at the terminals.
