Trailing plugs - Top Leading plugs - Lower
the correct plugs are NGK and have a 'T' or 'L' in blue on them
RE9B Trailing RE7C leading
Having them mixed would not keep the engine from starting. Recommend you have the compression checked. If it was starting and running fine before, then you could have disconnected something. Check fuses.

SOURCE: i changed the plugs and the car started skipping

If the car ran fine before you made repairs, then I would also assume that you have a plug wire on the wrong plug. If you cant locate the firing order, let me know, will be glad to send it to you.

Check your spark plug wires. There may be problem like Carbon build up which causes for this. If so, replace your spark plug and wires. In addition, check your fuses carefully.

Were are all the spark plugs on a 2005 rotatry engine

To remove RX-8 spark plugs you will need to remove the N/S/F wheel, you can then remove the small rubber/plastic shield, and then with a socket set you can easily remove the spark plugs. as you did not say what model i used an RX8 as an example for information purposes, and if that information is not what you needed they are on the near side , side of the engine, note also the top and bottom plugs are different....hope this helps please vote and rate thanks

How do you change spark plugs on mazda rx8 2006 model?

In all seriousness, remove the rightside (from the front) road-wheel (jack the car, of course) - drivers front wheel in a LHD car, passenger's in a RHD car.

At the back of the wheel arch is a flexible flap - unclip / move / remove this, and you have good access to the plugs (remember, these are mounted on the side of the engine on a RX8 / Renesis rotary engine).

13/16" socket to remove the spark plugs; There's 4, in total, in 2 pairs (yes, 2 different types of plugs).

Smear a little anti-seize on the threads of the new plugs and insert by hand and tighten in accordance with the instructions on the plugs (e.g. NKG = hand-tighten, then spanner 1/2 turn)

With spark goes up and down on mazda rx8

your plugs are marked with a L and T this means leeding and trailing. the leeding plug goes in the bottom hole and the trailing plug goes in the top. It will run very poorly if you install them the other way around. Also when you replace the plugs look at the ends of the plugs if there is any rust or corrosion on them you will need to replace the wire because they are worn out and will cause a miss fire and posibly damage a coil

Coil problem [ misfire DTC code]

rx8 have a history of coil packs going bad internally and grounding out. best way to check if theyre bad is to pull the packs and inspect the back side. if you have discolorationg on the back side your packs are bad or are going to be bad soon. inspect the plugs if they are fouled or burnt replace them along with the coil packs.its a good idea to replace the wires too. and do not use cheap aftermarket parts. this will only cause more problems in the future. use oem or performance parts.

2004 RX8

hopefully you didnt use too much starting fluid. you dont want youre rx8 to be a crack baby. but as ardyrr said it is common for plug fouling and packs going bad. check packs for discoloration on the back side. if present, replace packs. if plugs are fouled replace them too. wires are probably damaged too or next in line to go. and when replacing parts please use oem or performance parts. cheap aftermarket parts will only cause more problems in the near future.

Changing spark plug wires

WEll u dont need to remove anything This is what i did lift your car up with a jack. where you oil filter is you will see you plug wires running into your (ICM) Ignition Module unplug them and slide them to the top of your motor. dont get them mixed up otherwise your timeing will be messed up and your car wont start. on the ICM from the top to bottom the plug numbers are 2,3,1,4 and on top of the moter from left to right 1,2,3,4 just make for sure u have the right order..
