HOW DO I RESET THE ERROR F8

I have a framtid ov10 and it is displying a f8 error which I suspect is related to the auto-locking feature which is activated during the pryolytic cleaning process. Now the door is locked and it will not open. I have unlocked in manually and had a lock around but there is not obvious way to reset the lock. Can anyone help? Thanks

SOURCE: Door locks on Ford Expedition stuck

Look under your steering wheel right under the dash. There should be a small white strip with 5 numbers. This is your master code for your vehicle. If you bought the car used and they give you a code, they could have made their own code, but the master will override it. If this don't help, the module for the doors may be going bad.

SOURCE: key fob will not activate anything. can't

I too had this problem. I finally found out that my problem was the result of the metal contacts that touch the circuit board when you push the buttons had worn out. To correct my problem, I purchased a small pad that slides right inside the remote and fixes all the buttons. Since then, my remote has worked problem free for the past 3 months. The company that makes the pads is KEYLESSFIX. The following link will take you to the actual website:

Please remember to rate my solution. Thanks!

Which two buttons do you press if the remote wont start the car. it was working but now there's an error. can I press the lock and the opener to start the car

Depends on the car...Most require you to press the lock button first to insure the doors are locked and then press the start button for about 8 seconds. If the error is a code error the computer may be locking out the auto start feature to keep from running an unattended vehicle that may have an emission or engine problem.

What is the fix for auto door lock on my 2007 chevy silverado engage and disengage while driving on the freeway after the vehicle is warm

Try disengaging the "Auto Lock" feature in the Driver Information System when shifting in/out of Park and at a certain MPH. If that keeps it from doing it, you know the BCM Body Control Module is controlling the action. It could be it "thinks" it's unlocked when it not. May need to replace the power lock assembly. You could also try taking the battery cables off to reset the PCM/BCM. That may fix it too. Worst case, it is the BCM, and they are not cheap. Good Luck!

Automatic headlight my 2000 town car head lights are on all the time. The auto feature does not turn them off. It thinks that it night. I suspect that it is the sensor on the dashboard but haven't be

Hi Harley,

Try to see if the sensor is not covered in muck or dust, clean it with a cotton bud.

Also check in the owners manual for any possible fuse related issues, and in the back it should give you a technical overview.

Hope it helps

Disengage auto door locks

My toyota MR2 has this feature, its done by operating the drivers door switch seven times in succession, if the car then agrees it enters a security programming mode where you can change these security settings. Ask your toyota dealer how its done on yours, they can be helpful.

I have a 1995 Buick Regal that automatically locks the doors when you shift from park into drive, I dont like that feature. Is there any way to disable that feature?

If you start it in neutral, the auto locks don't auto lock. As an mechanic, I start in neutral out of habit because it technically reduces wear by avoiding going through reverse.shift out of park while in acc to nuetral and start

Auto door lock want work

The auto door lock feature is a programmed feature that can be turn on or off. to enable or disable this feature you will need to follow these directions.
1. Close all door and place the key in the ignition switch.
2. cycle the ignition switch ON/OFF four times ending in the OFF position. (do not start the engine.)
3. Within 10 seconds of the final cycle, press the interior driver's door lock switch to the Lock position.
4. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.
You can turn this feature back off by performing the above procedures again.

2008 toyota corolla auto cpu be used on a manual gearbox

No. You cannot use an auto CPU on a manual transmission. The values are markedly different, and the auto cpu has the additional features that relate to the auto trans. I would not try it, you may damage your wiring harness.
