Yes. It's a freeze plug. No radiator or little coolant present? When did you drive it last? How big is the hole and where is it located?

Where do u find the glow plug relays on 2000 gu Nissan patrol 3.0 litre turbo ?

I would have to say at the bottom or around the bottom of your engine block. They are there only in the purpose of the machining of the engine block this is how they clean out or blow out the access aluminum after machining the block itself....Also you can check youtube and see if your answer is there.Hope this helps...

The block heater cord to 2004 jetta came unplugged from the car and I'm not sure where to look to plug it back in Can someone give me a general idea where it might go?

Block heaters are installed on the engine block in one of the "freeze plug" openings. The freeze plug is punched out and the block heater is installed in its place. The freeze plugs, about 3 on each side of the engine, are midway up the block- a round, slightly recessed metal plug about 2 inches in diameter that is driven into these holes made during the engine casting process. The freeze plugs will be found below where the exhaust manifold attaches-so if you are looking on the side of the engine with the exhaust manifold-look behind and just below the exhaust manifold. The other side of engine will have the same number of freeze plugs at the same level on the engine block.
Your block heater is probably on the front facing side of the engine (towards the radiator). It is probably shinier than tom the he regular freeze plugs, will have a small screw in the center for tightening when installed, and will have 2 or 3 metal prongs that your heater cord attaches to. Simply plug it back into the heater. Just remember: about halfway up on the engine block, from the oil pan rail at bottom to the top of block where the cylinder head mates.

Where do i install block heater on 2009 jeep compass 2.4 litre

They pretty well all install in frost plug hole. Usually about half way down engine block. Messy, would not recommend doing it yourself,

Nissan navara 2006 blown hole no1 piston 16000kms

I'm sorry to hear that!
When you get it fixed get your injectors serviced as holes in pistons are usually caused by pre-ignition ( pinking ) or running too lean.
If the injectors were left wet ( can happen if a blown head gasket was the cause of the first rebuild ie water in the bore ) , or dirty , they may not be delivering enough fuel causing the top of the piston to get too hot and melting a hole in it.
Option 2 , the timing was set wrong, ( too far advanced ) causing pre-ignition and ending in the same way.
Good luck with the rebuild.

Cant find automatic box dipstick on 1.6 renault scenic s reg. is there one and any idea why sometime sounds as if clutch slipping on pulling away . thanks

They do not have one as such.

Remove the plastic drip tray from the bottom of the engine and to the right you will see the drain plug.

You will see that around the outide of the plug is another hex head which is the drain plug proper. It is a tube which they have set so when the engine is running and the oil is at the correct temprature excess oil will come out of the hole leaving the fluid at the correct height.

To check the oil in general what you need to warm the engine up till operating temprature then with the car parked level with a container to catch any oil that comes out.

With the engine still running remove the centre plug and if any oil comes out that is excess. If nothing comes out you need to replace the plug, pour in 1/2 a litre and then check it again. If you get some oil to come out that is cool it is excess if not keep addin 1/2 a litre till you do.

The filler plug is the one on the top of the gear box with a square hole in it.

Hope that helps

Pull the spark plug wires out one by one and check for oil on wire. Sometimes the valve cover spark plug hole gaskets leak oil into the spark plug hole and causes a misfire. If oil found clean with brake or carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air. also when car runs bad listen under hood for snapping noise this would be spark escaping to ground somewere. In a dark garage you might be able to see the spark.
