Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

Need to find 40, 80, and 120 Amp fuses for a 2001 nissan maxima. Can't find a single helpful site for the parts I need. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I need to find prices or sites with the required fuses. Most every local auto parts store and online stores do not carry the necessary fuses for my Maxima....any suggestions?

Rockauto.com has it all.
also dont be afraid of your local picknpull
fuses dont usually go bad-they fail or work...

the bigger question is why you need them anyway-whats seriously wrong that you need to replace that many of that size?
lightning strike?

SOURCE: 1996 Nissan Maxima exhaust replacements

Yes you can obtain the parts from after market. The Flex Pipe is installed on all cars hows engine is built in transverse. if you accelerate the engine tries to turn against the crankshaft rotation. W/o flex pipe your exhaust will be broken after a couple of minutes. The flex pipe acts like an accordion and eliminates this small "turns".

SOURCE: how do i properly flush

Yes, you need to remove the thermostat in order to fully flush the radiator. This is because the thermostat only opens when the engine is hot. The last time I did this, I bought a kit which included a hose T connector (which was inserted into one of the heater hoses) and an adaptor for the radiator that allows the output to flow past the front of the car rather than just running on the ground. You should have a very large container to catch the waste.

If your Maxima has the premium audio, go to the fuse block and check 10A fuse 21 and 15A fuse 22. If the fuses check OK, there is an audio amplifier relay that supplies power to the speaker amplifiers. This is another possible failed part

Does nissan maxima 2001 has a timing belt or chain .and after how many miles does that need to be changed.?

For the 2001 Nissan Maxima 3.0L SFI DOHC V6:
It has a Timing Chain.
Unlike Timing Belts, Timing Chains will normally last the lifetime of the car. However, when it is time to change the Water Pump: it is a really great idea to change the Timing Chain and Camshaft and Crankshaft Sprockets, as you are in the vicinity and have already torn down everything already.
Professionally, but not officially, I like the 100,000 miles rule with Timing Chains.

2001 nissan maxima overheating problem persists

It sounds like the the thermostat that was replaced is probably faulty. This being the cheapest and easiest to do I would start there. I can't reply about the air pockets. I have never heard of that before.
