Question about 1989 Chevrolet Camaro
I'm going to guess that it is electric. If so then you are in luck, otherwise you will have to make a manual adjustment. If it is indeed an electric truck then there is a small place where you can press that will make the "catch" rise back up. It is located around the truck catch. You will have to thumb around for it but it is there. This is something that I've done many, many times. Also if the trunk is electric then make sure that you never slam it. Hope this helps.

If it has and electric pull down motor, the motoris out and should be replaced. if it is manual, it is probably locked or out of adjustment
