Question about 2007 Mazda B3000

1 Answer

I have a 94 b3000 mazda. can the clutch pedal travel distance be adjusted? i have about 2"'s of clearance before the clutch engages! Had the clutch assembly replaced about 4 yrs ago. The truck has almost 250,000 miles on it. The pedal is super soft, was fine up until about 2 weeks ago. Drove it the other day and smelled what seemed like a pad burning! thanks in advance for any suggestions

If you have not yet replaced the clutch master cylinder , that will be the cause of the problem
once that is replaced the pedal will come back to correct height

SOURCE: My roof clearance lights are not turning on my 08 Ford Super Duty

The fuse that feeds them is no 22(15amp) in the interior fuse panel, however this fuse feeds the park lamp relay so if your park lamps are working this would not be the problem.
I would suspect that you have a loose or unplugged connector. Most likely connector C913 located behind dash in the top left corner above emergency brake pedal. It will be a round 4 wire cavity connector but will have only 2 wires in it BK/GY and VT/WH.

1998 Ford Taurus SE, Problem Transmissions wont Shift, Took it to the Shop and they Said it Had to be a Electracal Problem?? But they did not Know what, Some times Works Fine Other Times Check Engine Comes...

TRY THIS I BET IT'S YOUR PROBLEM

Neutral Safety Switch
  • Put the selector in the park position.
  • Loosen the screws on the neutral safety switch.
  • Remove the switch.
  • Reverse the procedures to complete the installation.
Clutch Start Switch
CAUTION
Before replacing the clutch switch or any component connected to the vehicle's control computer, disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
  • After replacing the switch, slowly work the clutch pedal and note any unusual noises or interferences with pedal movement.
  • If the switch is adjustable, make sure the clutch pedal height and push rod (free) play are correct.
  • Then check the release point of the clutch.
  • Begin by engaging the parking brake and installing wheel chocks.
  • Start the engine and allow it to idle.
  • Without depressing the clutch pedal, slowly shift the shift lever into reverse until the gears contact.
  • Gradually depress the clutch pedal and measure the stroke distance from the point the gear noise stops (this is the release point) up to the full stroke end position.
  • If the distance is not within specifications, check the pedal height, push rod play, and pedal free play.
  • If the distance is correct, check the clearance between the switch and the pedal assembly when the clutch is fully depressed.

  • Loosen the switch and adjust its position to provide for the specified clearance.

Height of Clutch Pedal

I assume it is a cable operated clutch. If so the adjustment is tightened so that there is about 1/2 to 1" of pedal travel to clutch operation, provided the gears can be selected smoothly.

Fuse box on 94 mazda b3000

Try testing the brake switch (it is behind the brake pedal) for 12V and continuity between wires when engaged. You can also try checking the brake light relay. It is located on the fuse block.

i hope this helps

Clutch wont engage

With the hydraulic systems, there is no adjustment. So what pedal travel you have is likely normal for that vehicle.

Check the brake light switch located under the dash, and is energized by depressing the brake pedal.

Clutch slipping

first i would try adjusting the clutch cable because commonly people with think that they're clutch is going out when really just the cable has gotten stretched....try adjusting that first and if that works then you should be fine for another couple thousand miles but if you want to not have to worry bout it for awhile i would just replace teh clutch assembly....usually ranges from $200 to $450 depending on the clutch set and the mechanic that does the work for you. Let me know what happens. :)

Front wheel Drive query

DEar Customer,

your from is that your car is front wheel drive & you have to reset your car clutch point that loose its sensitivity as they had before,

its not a big prib you have to open bonet than make more active clutch wire with streching clutch joints.
