Question about 2001 GMC Yukon XL
Yukon xl 2005 will not shift into 2nd gear. RPM's goes up. Message says transmission hot. When transmission fluid was attempted to be changed they were unable to pull a suction. Claiming it is the tramsmission pump.
If it was the pump it will not move at all. Your transmission might require a rebuild depends on how many times it has been on the road with that problem.
If the fluid is not burned and there is no debris i would suggest to change 1-2 shift solenoid and the epc solenoid at the same time.
Why not remove the valve body and inspect the valve and the spring make sure it is not broke in pieces.
Hope this helps if it is not to late.
