How to reset the proportioning valve in brake master cylinder for 1989 Ford F150?

to reset the proportioning valve try bleeding the master by applying pressure and slowly opening one line at the master until the valve centres. you may have to do the same with the other line to get it to centre, sometimes you have to hit the area where the valve is as it may be stuck to get it to move.

In my toyota corolla 2003 of 50 litres petrol capacity in the fuel guage thre are totally 17 lines including 4 thick lines. There are no lines in between E and 1st thick line. Similarly there are no lines...

The fuel level sensor in the tank is not linear, meaning it doesn't have the same equally spaced indication between E and F . The shape of the tank has a lot to do with the reading also. The needle will move more rapidly when the tank is below 1/2 full. When the low fuel light comes on there should be almost 3 gallons left in the tank 2 1/2 which are usable.

My boot wont open

If the back seat folds down you can get in and take the cover off the boot lid and pull the levers to the lock and it will open. If the seats do not fold down you have to remove the back seats to get into the boot or just get a locksmith

Cant get boot to open

Inter through the back seat. If the lock is broken you could unlock from the inside of the trunk.

1992 Toyota problems

it could be the heater or it could be that someone has used too much back to black on the dash board. wipe the windshield down with warm water and a spot of white vinegar, put the heater on full for a few minutes with a towel over the windscreen vents. if you don't clear the problem doing this you will at least highlight by the state of the towel that the core is leaking. Also check for damp carpets around the centre console

My consern is that my 1999 chevy lumina has thick, black, oily residue all over the inside of radiator cap and appears to be down in the radiator also. what could this be and why would this be there

Does it have an engine oil cooler? There will be cooler lines going to the radiator. Smaller lines will be an automatic transmission cooler and larger would be engine oil. The internal coolers can be leaking inside the radiator. Check those fluid levels as well. If one or both are low that may be where its going.

Then it could be transmission fluid but I would hope you don't let it go until it gets black.

Also, what color is the coolant? Is it the original red? May need to just flush the cooling system. There has been compliants on the factory red Dex-Cool. It would create sludge and plug heater cores.

Well black wire should be your earth wire. But are you going from window motor to car or from car to window motor?
