Car manual I need a daewoo lanos '99 car manual but every site that I've gone to sends me to another site & so on & so forth. Where can I get a manual for a 1999 Daewoo lanos 4Dr 1.6L Automatic?

Daewoo engine are interference engines so there is every possibility of valve damage

Find a service manual for that model or others with similar engine. Follow the instructions given. You will need to remove the cylinder head first which involves removing a lot of items including the timing belt/chain. Best done by a qualified mechanic.

Try rockauto.com, an online shopping site. They have a huge inventory, and cheapest prices anywhere.

Have a fault reading done to determine the sensors that have failed. Could be a MAF/MAP sensor problem or an ambient air temp sensor.

The fault code 53 is an ECM IMMOBILIZED ERROR.
The immobilizer anti-theft system thinks the key is invalid. If it detects an error, it will;
Disable the fuel injector circuit--- Disable the fuel pump circuit---Disable the ignition coil.

Code 53 will set when:
1- The Eectronic Control Module (ECM) does not receive the signal from the Immobilizer Control Unit (ICU) within 0.9 seconds when vehicle is stationary, or 1.8 seconds when vehicle is moving.
2- The ICU sends the ECM an incorrect release message more than 5 times.
3- The above conditions continue until the ignition is switched off.

replace crankshaft senor, its bad, faulty. Check your O2 sensor. change fuel fuel filter and spark plugs and wires with new ones.

try the distributor maybe it needs reset with the timing
