My clutch started sliping, can I adjust it, to absolve the problem

most modern cars have no clutch adjustment
what is common is a blocked compensating port in the clutch master cylinder ( replace cylinder) or if a cable clutch , the cable breaking wires and jamming in the case ( replace cable )

First check would be your coolant thermostat, which probably has failed in the closed position

Need DIY information on how to adjust a clutch on a mitsubishi pajero 2004 as is sliping

Clutch adjustment is usually automatic - though when clutch action in the pedal sits to high before it engages its usually adjusted on the clutch pedal. In most cases this isn't the cause for slipping - but if the clutch has been replaced recently the problem might sit elsewhere in the clutch system.

With a slipping (worn) clutch there's only a tiny layer left before the clutch plate rivets start eating the metal away.
