94 caddy 4.9 not getting spark

Are your spark plugs--plug wires--cap and rotor in good shape? At the distributor cap do you see a B+ and tach terminals. The B+ should go hot when you turn on the key. Use a test lite. If you use a testlight on the tach terminal, the lite should pulse when you crank it. It could be caused by the coil--ignition module, pickup coil, wiring, plus.

Injectors and spark plugs do not have pulse

CHECK BOTH THE OVERHEAD CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND YOUR BOTTOM CRANKSHAFT SENSOR, THESE TWO SENSORS WHERE PUT IN TO REPLACE YOUR DISTRIBUTOR, THE ARE BOTH ELTROMAGNETIC AND SEND PULSES TO THE BRAIN AND KEEPS YOUR CAR IN TIME AND IT ALSO SENDS PULSES THRU YOUR COIL PACKS

94 camaro wont start...no firefrom the coil has new icm , coil , fuel pump

Check the icm plug with a led testlight for pulse while the engine is cranking. Test the wire connector with the small wires going into the coil for pulse. The v8 has a opti-spark distributor behind the waterpump that is prone to failure. It has the pickup inside it that tells the icm when to spark. If no pulse at icm distributor is bad. If pulse at icm but not at coil, icm or wiring between icm and coil is bad.The coil also needs pos.+ power on 1 terminal to operate. Be SURE to check the security light on the dash. If VATS [vehicle anti theft system] fails its usually within the 2 wires going from the key chip in the ignition tumbler to the body control module. Mine were purple and tan.Trying to start it with the wrong key can put it in lockout mode also. There are bypass modules available online for vats problems or you can even install a resistor in the wire to bypass the keychip part and the door alarms still work.

1997 Oldsmobile Achieva - check engine light is on and car is running sluggishly...brand new motor installed 6 weeks ago.

What speed are you going when it chugs?
It could be as simple as a bad spark plug or a spark plug wire/boot grounding out.
When spark plug boots get old, the rubber cracks and lets voltage arc out the side and to the engine instead of through the plug.
This will be most noticeable when trying to maintain a speed of over 40 mph, or under mild acceleration.
The reason for being noticeable at this speed/acceleration level is that the transmission torque converter will be locked, transferring the vibration from any engine miss straight through to the wheels.

94 Lesabra is breaking up when I accelerate. Mostly at higher speeds.Doesn't stall, but it fells like it is starting to.

This symptom could be several things...how long since a tune up of spark plugs, and spark plug wires? Also the control module can be breaking down under load (acceleration) How does your Buick idle? Have you tried fuel injector cleaner? These items are usually maintenance things...not to expensive...
