My envoy idles up and down when i turn my defroster is on

When you place your controls on defrost it turns your air conditioner on - depending what the heat level is set on the air conditioner will cycle on and off to regulate temp. Anytime the A/C runs the idle sensor will bring the idle up

Air conditioner will not come on. The tempeture gage is reading -40. The sensor is not reading properly.

Hi ruswashingto,

The air conditioner may not work properly if your ambient temp is reading -40. The a/c control unit monitors ambient temp so that it does not operate at too low outside temps. I would recommend fixing the ambient temp sensor and rechecking your a/c operation.

Ac on 2002 envoy not working. temp on inside says 50 when it is hotter outside.

Ambient temperature sensor is not reading correctly. This will affect whether or not the a/c can be turned on.

Temperature control sensor?

Sounds like a loose connection -38 is probably the open circuit position. Not sure where the sensor would be though.

P0410 DTC code GMC Envoy 2005

The relay ground will be controlled by the PCM. The air injection pump is only commanded on for a few seconds when the engine temp sensor is reading below 210 deg f (cold start conditions). This makes the temp sensor the primary input for this system not the 02 sensor. The PCM looks for the 02 sensor to drop below 150 millivolts within 2 or three seconds of starting the fan and opening the solenoid. if the 02 sensor does not do this, code P0410. Did you run 12V to the solenoid? Did it open?
Closed loop status simply refers to a condition in which the engine is using feedback from the 02 sensors to control the air/fuel ratio.

Air conditioner blows hot

my 06 jetta did the thing. I fixed it by replacing the outside temp sensor. Turns out the air only works if temps are over 45 degrees. My outside temp sensor had gone bad. sensor was around $11.00 and I had to re-wwire it in because the original one had corroded. air has been working great sense.
