Question about 1993 Geo Prizm
I took my '94 Prizm to a local Boces for work on the rear brakes and mentioned a grinding sound when I make a hard left-hand turn or when I'm backing up and cranking the wheel all the way to the right. Also, when I'm backing up and crankign the wheel to the left I hear the same sound only not as loud.
I don't hear anything while going straight down the road. I figured it was the rotor but the Boces instructor said it wasn't. He told me the wheel bearing will need to be replaced but they won't have time to do it before the students are done for the semester. So, I'm going to have to take it to a local garage.
How much can I expect to pay to replace that bearing? I priced them online and they're not very expensive, but I know that labor can cost and arm and a leg. Please advise. Thanks!
