Broken power seat - cannot slide backward. Can I slide it manually?

The power seat on the passenger side of my Camry 2003 XLE is broke. I had slid all the way forward to accomaodate some things in the back but it wont go back. There is a clicking noise when you try to slide it back. All the other power seat controls (up, down, recline etc are working) except for the slide back function. Can anyone help me with this? thanks!

I checked but I could not find any obstruction. I could just hear a click (the motor run a bit.... but no movement ) when I slide it back ward or forward. Should I just try to take the seat out. Im only worried of triggering the air bag if I try to disconnect the wiring...any thoughts?

Ck for debri or other objwcts in way of tracks Does it try to move? If so, there is an obstruction, If not trying or no sound when switch is moved, could very well be a fuse or the forward limit switch is being affected by excess forward travel. Move the switch yo back and without kinda help it. if it's trying.

No, you should be able to remove the seat without air bag deployment. I had one that had a penny jammed in the trac

You have to take the motor off and use one of the flex shafts in an electric drill. Lube the track with wd40 before doing that to see if the seat will move before you take out the motor.

I have a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE and the heated seat on the driver side stopped working. I had the fuse labeled for the heated seat (which I believe was 20a) and it was blown. The buttons for the heated...

Replace the fuse with one the same rating. If the seat now works.... smile. If the new fuse blows or the heat does not work you may have a short (or a broken wire) inside the seat that's causing the problem. It's an 11 year old seat.... tearing it apart to find the source may not be worth it.

Check the spring which puts tension on the lever to hold it in the lock position this may have dislodged itself or be broken or possibly bent.

Passenger seat will not slide forward

there will be bars underneath the seat that are supposed to go across to unlock both sides so that the seat can move forward and back, try having someone pull the lever and see if you can see from behind the bar that moves and figure out what it corresponds to on the opposite side. you should be able to move it by hand, release the lock and set the seat where you want it, as for a permanent fix, most seats are not difficult to remove, typically four bolts, although some take specialty tools like large torx bits, and i would imagine the bar is replaceable

2001 toyota camry, the driver side power seat is in the back position and will not move forward, the motor seems to work but only one side is moving.

Need to remove seat and check the drive cable from the motor to the affected side. May need to be reconnected or replaced. Make sure you disconnect battery as seats have side air bags in them.

Electric front seat stuck in forward position. It's a 2002 Camry. I moved the electric adjustment completely forward looking for an item and it would not return back to the original position. Both tilts...

I had the same problem on my 2003 Toyota Camry. The threaded drive screws are what spin underneath the seat and cause the seat to move back and forth (same way a garage door opens or closes). When the seat gets all the way in the forward position, the threading on the drive screws ends, which causes the bolts connected to the seat to jam and get stuck. It should sound like the motor is trying to turn but it won't, it just clicks. Un-jam the bolts and rotate them one rotation from the all the way forward position to ensure your seat is reinstalled straight.
