Question about 2003 GMC Envoy Xl

1 Answer

03 GMC EnvoyXL CBM-how much and how do to replace it.

Having several issues and think it may be the CBM. Do you agree?

Front AC Blower not working
Sunroof not working
ABS Brake Light stays on
Emerigency Brake light stays on
Seat Belt Light stays on
Airbag Light stays on
ON-Star not keeping a connections
Everything else works GREAT... Fuses were replaced, Battery and Alternator check out fine.

Have no idea how much this is gonna cost. Any ideas? Is this something my husband can do? does the Dealer have to program the replacement?

Thanks for any advise on these issues....

THanks... it was an expensive scanner.. a friend of ours works for the FBI and he was allowed to bring it home to scan my truck.. thats the one that wouldnt connect.. The one AutoZone also couldnt connect. So really we should take it to the Dealership and let them sort it out..

You really need to have it scaned by someone with propre equiptment. If it is a body module it will be around $500 for the part. Then it will have to be programed at a dealer. Really before you spend that much get it checked by a shop that knows computer systems. Good Luck

I work for a GM dealer in Texas, been doing this for 20 years. It will probably only cost you about an hour labor check out to find out the cause. Good Luck

Most do not stock it, but it is usually an overnight item. Let me know if I can help.

Front ac blower wont shut off after the truck is shut off

This would indicate to me the vehicle has had an issue with the wiring, perhaps an accident in the front end, and someone has hooked up the wires wrong.
The radiator-cooling electric fan can run up to several minutes after you shut off the engine, as it is cooling off the cooling system.
The A/C fan, however, should shut off with the engine.
God bless your efforts.

I Have an 03 gmc sierra 2500hd. the problem is the manual speed control knob for the heat/ac only work at the highiest setting. all of the lower speed controls don't work. What do you think is the problem?

there is a resister near the blower motor that controls the fan speeds that is most likely your problem when it goes bad the blower motor will only work on high i have changed many of them on many cars & trucks

2001 sequoia front ac blower not working, blower motor is OK

Sounds like a Controller Issue with the Climate Control. Seeing that you applied power and it worked, then it is not the Motor.

UNLESS you try it on ALL SPEEDS and if it then does not work, you have an Input problem.

If it only works on ONE SPEED, then you have a Resister Issue for the Blower

How do I access/replace the heater/ac blower motor fan speed control switch? Rear air is not blowing cold-Front is. Freon low?

I have the same issue and my problem is not the blower, it works but the plug into is the problem and that small part is not sold seperately. I wedged it for a time but now that is not working. Anyone else having the issue or replaced that part?

AC blower stopped working on my 2004 GMC EnvoyXL. The rear AC blower works but not the front. Checked the fuses and relays, they appear to be OK.

does it work on heat mode if not then it is probably the blower motor switch in the dash or the blower itself

I have 2003 gmc envoy my front ac control does not

Need to check to see if the blower motor is running. If it is,but not threw the vents, most likely a vent door actuator motor. The actuator motor in this case would be bad,it is hard to get to,unless you are mechanically inclined,You can do it your self.If the blower motor is bad, just replace it.Check fuses first, and the blower relay. If I can help, let me know.
