Question about 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan
My 1997 dodge Carivan has been having issues with the abs light. When i turn my van on the abs light will come on sometimes it will take 20 minutes sometimes it comes on right from the start. When the abs light goes on my heat stops working along with the electric locks. My directional also stop working. I was told to replace the "combination switch". some places didn't even know what this was when i called them. I did this and the issue still occured. One place told me to check to abs pumb and another said this would not cause these issues. All the same issues except the combo lock and the charging system. Mine is a 1999 Grand Caravan...any other suggestion?
ENSURE THE AIR PRESSURE IN ALL 4 TIRES ARE THE SAME. CHRYSLER UNWITTINGLY HAS A TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) by having an ABS light.
When 1 tire turns slower (or faster) than the other 3, the ABS lamp illuminates when it thinks the wheels aren't turning the same speed, (they aren't). When properly inflated, (or all 4 at least at the same pressure, the ABS Lamp will go out soon, (not immediately). Maybe on the next drive cycle.
