Did you replace the relay for the day time running lights which for some dumb reason is mounted under the front bumper? Climb under and look straight up and you should see it...mine was mounted in about the center (on the frame in front of the radiator. Sounds similar to an issue I had and it cleared up once I replaced the part...had to get from dealer still.

My 1998 chvy cavalier has a headlight problem. I replaced the relay but they still are not working. The high beams are working and the day time running lights work most of the time. What would I look at...

I hope other people read what you said

Throwing parts at something with no testing
or knowledge, does get expensive

I would be looking the headlight switch,
the high beam selector switch

Lighting grounds,etc

You have hi's,just not lows (apply logic)

The running lights as you call them
Get them working all the time, you may
find you issue

A wiring diagram & a volt meter is a must
if not found easily

Low beams not working

The daytime running lights work off a separate module. You do need a new headlight dimmer switch located inside the car at the lower part of the steering column. It has a rod going into it with a few wires running to it. You will need to adjust it upon installing so mank the location of the old one with white tape or paint for an easier installation

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

I need help troubleshooting the headlighs. All

next would be to check the hi-lo beam switch, play with the lever and see if you can get them to flicker, if so, replace the hi-lo beam switch (combination switch)

There should be a relay under the hood or in the fuse box for day time running lights. Most of them are labeled.
