SOURCE: Replacing speakers in Mitsubishi Galant

If the car is an 03 galant it is very simple to remove.
DRIVER SIDE:
Remove the window crank if it is not Electric Window.
Remove the Screw that holds the "Open Door Handle" cover.
Remove the Screw that holds the "Pull Handle Pocket"
Remove both plastic covers.
Remove all 3 hidden crews that have a plastic cover over them.
One is toward the front of the door top and the other two are toward the rear of the door top and bottom side.
Carefully pry around the door trim panel to disengage it from th retaining clips, along the sides and bottom. If you have electric windows, disconnect the if from the door trim to access the speaker. Same procedure for both doors.

SOURCE: Front door speakers

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

How to remove dashboard speakers

There are like 50 nuts, bolts, and screws to remove. Plus you have to remove the radio, instrument panel, and heater controls. You may have to drop or pull out the steering column. Also you have to disconnect the wiring harness. To remove the dash. Then you can remove the speakers. You really need a manual in hand when doing this job. Taking it apart is the easy part, getting it back in right, is when you need the manual.

    Front speakers are not working

I have totally replaced my speakers but start with just removing radio to ck. wires to radio and then to speakers. They are color coded with radio wire harness. Do not remove whole dashboard not needed since radios come out fairly easily. Many times speakers just cook in a hot sunny car so need replacing. If new ones don`t work then it`s not the speakers.Good luck. Joe

How do i replace the front speakers in a 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited . The dashboard speakers are blown, do i have to take the dashboard off to replace the speakers? Are these speakers crossed over or...

no you dont have to take the dash out, all you have to do is take the defrost part of the dash off and it just lifts up and it uses plastic clips that if you are carefull it wont break, this will allow you to access the speakers with a small screw driver, if you have the ( Infinity sound system ) in your jeep make sure you replace the speakers with the infinity speakers or your sound system will not sound good, youcan purchase these speaker at your local jeep dealership how ever they are expensive I suggest looking in a salvage yard for some, to keep from blowing them turn your volume down.
