You'll need to replace the fan relay, it is very likely stuck closed.

There is also a fan relay near the battery on the drivers side.. Usually you will find a burnt wire and melted contact when you remove the plug from the relay also feel the wires by hand if one is getting hot the connection is poor....

The relay is not in the fuse box. Speeddemon is incorrect. Though most cars have them located there, they arent in this specific model car. Pop the hood of the car. looking under the hood, go to the left side of the vehicle. on the upper left corner, located on the rim is 3 relays. 2 of which are exactly the same and one of which is different. the 2 similar relays are for the radiator fan and the AC fan. swap them and give it a try. see if your ac fan comes on inside the car and if the radiator fan stops. if so, then go get urself a relay for 15 bucks and call it a day.

It sounds like your contacts in your relay are stuck the relay is in the fuse box look in the owners manual to see which relay is for what they are usually inexpensive to replace

test your fan motor.run b+ and ground to your motor and see if it runs.if it doesnt it is probably your coolant fan switch located on the cylinder head or the coolant fan relay.hope this helps.keep posted.

My 94 camaro is running hot at idle and while driving under 50. how do i know if my fan is working or what the problem may be?

The raditor may be only partly filled or stopped up. once running and warm if you touch the raditor it should be hot about the same all over. if the top part is hot and the bottm is cold then the raditor is stopped up. with the readitor removed and the hoses removed and a good high pressure water hose you might be able to wash it out good enough to get most of it working, don't forget to wash out the fins where the air goes though. a little soap in some sparyed on water and then reinise off good gets the dirt and bug juice off and it'll cool much better If a car comes into my shop and the raditor is more then 5 yeares since it was flushed and it appears to be partly stopped up i recomend it to be replaced. The fan should come on if you turn the aircomnditioner on, and if you let the car sit and run with the hood open it should also come on as the temperture gauge approches the red zone. it should stay on till the gauge is almost down to the middle. it shpuldn't take but a mintue with it just sitting there ideling to cool bach down with the fan running, Is the check engine light on? If it is the codes may indicate a fan relay problem or a overheating problem and you need to follow the rules for fixing those codes. Mixture control problems( codes ) can point out problems with overheating too.

2001 Chev Cavalier blower fan intermittent

The power connection to the fan motor on these is known to overheat and cause a bad connection. The fan motor is above the passengers feet.Next time the fan motor will not come on, switch the selector to high and wack the bottom of the dash above the passengers feet.If the motor does come on at that time, you may need a replacement fan motor and connector.REPLACE the fan speed resistor board when replacing the fan motor, which is right behind the fan motor.

1994 Chev Cavalier - engine light comes on randomly

One cause of the light to come on randomly is a loose gas cap. If it's not replaced tightly (turned until it clicks three or four times) it throws the light on. It's one thing to check anyway.

My 2003 chevy cavalier electric fans wont turn off

Usually after driving, your rad fan can continue to run for up to 2 minutes after shutting off the car. It can even start up on it's own if it detects that the temperature of the engine is too hot (say if it's over 50 degrees celcius). The fan running for these several minutes should be of no concern. If it's staying on and not turning off for 30 minutes, then that is of concern
