Changing spark plugs on a '04 Chvy Malibu Maxx. I'm having issues getting the darned wires off. Do I have to twist these or am I just being a girl?

Too funny! You're not being a girl, sometimes those boots are really on there solid! You can try spaying WD 40 on the boots to soften them up. Let it sit for a little while to penetrate the rubber. Make sure you pull only on the boots and not the wires themselves or you'll be replacing wires and plugs. It's okay to twist the boots while you're pulling on them. A little force should break them free. Best of luck

How do i change the spark plugs in a 2003 chevy malibu?

On this model it has a 3.1 liter v-6 the coil pack is near the firewall and coil pairing (firing order) 1-4,2-5,3-6 the front cylinders are the easy to replace that 2,4,6 and the rears are 1,3,5 starting from the fan belt . suggest using your phone to take several pictures so you do not get the wires mixed up. most of the wires have a metal housing surrounding the plug boot this is to be installed on the new wires. as engines heat up and cool down this wires are like welded to the spark plug. so pulling and twisting the ends is normal (of coarse swearing is involved also) After replacing the spark plugs remember to put a silicone grease inside the spark plug boot for easier removal next time you decide to change the spark plugs

2004 Chevrolet Malibu mix v6 LS engine turns but will not start

Check for fuel, spark, and then compression. Fuel problems can be pump, pump relay, fuse, filter, line, etc. Spark problems can be distributor module, distributor, coil packs, power to distributor or coil packs, plug wires. Compression problems would be piston rings, piston walls, piston rods.

Which parts to replace for tuneup @ 100K mile

A 100,000 mile tune up should include spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, if it has one under the frame(some newer cars have an in the tank fuel filter that is usually only changed when the fuel pump dies. Also replace the air filter if it is dirty and has been there over 20,000 miles. Some of the later models have coil on plug design and then there is no wires to replace. check tire pressure and the spare this also improves gas mileage.

We're having a popping sound in the steering in my 2006 malibu maxx hatchback ? Is there a recall . Please help

i just bought a 2005 malibu maxx from a dealership. It was having a popping sound when i would turn the wheel back and forth. Had the dealership fix it. THEY said they replaced the ( rack and pinion ) for the steering on the car. Don't think there is a recall on that. GM had a lot of problems with that popping noise on their malibu maxx. Hope that might help.

Where are the spark plugs located on an 04 kia optima

This is general car knowledge. An 04 kia probably has individual coils for each plug on the valve cover. Remove the screws holding the coil on the valve cover, gently pull/twist off (stuck like a cork) plugs should be down deep in cylinder head. Modern engines have iridium (100,000 mi) plugs. Yours could be this ,check the stickers in engine bay.
