I need a diagram for a 1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyllander

I have he wires mixed up. I need a diagram fro the firing order for a 1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyllander.

    Rogerf1 - I have the same concern about Cavalier firiing order. plug wires to coil order. THe diagram you provided is too low resolution for me to see the order at the coils. The user manual indicates a 1-3-4-2 order, but the old coils appear to be a 4-1-3-2 order. The new coils have no markings. Can you provide a larger, or more hi-resolution diagram of the coil firing order? Thanks.

What would be even more amazing would be if you were to bother mentioning WHICH ENGINE your Cavalier is equipped with. If it is a 4-cylinder engine (most likely) the firing order is 1-3-4-2.

How do you check the plug wires are in the right order on a 1997 chevy cavalier 2.2L?
Your 4-cylinder 2.2 Engine's firing order is, 1-3-4-2. The forward most spark plug is # 1, so trace it back to your distributor cap and there should be an arrow on the cap that tells you in which direction the rotor button (inside the distributor cap), turns.

1.9L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates counterclockwise.
2.0L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise.
2.5L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise.

1993 chevy cavalier 2.2l 4 c. sparks and wire order
it fires 1-3-4-2. The coil pack is marked 1-4, match them up with your cylinders, and you're good to go! Cylinder 1 is on the front of the engine, the side opposite from the transmission. Find your alternator and that's at cylinder 1.
