How can I fix the door handle on the inside of my 1999 Toyota Corolla Le? I have to roll down window and open from outside to get out. The handle on inside no longer opens door.
It's probably broken, or unhooked. Just take your inner door panel off, and you'll soon figure out what's happening. Sometimes the rods get bent, or they come off the clip, or just need adjusting. And sometimes the handle itself is broken, but you can do it!

Fixing will be obvious as you you can see what's missing. The handle you mention has a rod that connects to the lock. One side of that rod is loose.

Thanks... I was able to unscrew the inside door handle itself. It turns out the clip from the handle was broken that the rod sits in. I just replaced it with the driver rear handle... The only difficulty I had was popping the end of rod back into the replaced door handle.
