Question about 2005 Volvo S40
I had same problem put the key in the other way it worked for me , suggested by my breakdown truck guy.

This is because your car takes a coded key that the ignition reads. The ignition does not recognize the code on your key so it wont start. This is due to faulty ignion, faulty ECM, or you are using a replacement or valet key.
