low cost will be from a wrecker that handles your make of car
hydraulic hose shops can manufacture one if you provide the sample
that will be about 1/2 cost of a genuine hose
genuine as a last resort

What belt layout do you have for a 1995 infucion j30 i need it for fan belt, power steering belt, and altornator belt ?

Don't have one, but you can get it from the service manual. Most libraries subscribe to car service manuals. Call the nearest one and you should be able to get the diagram from them for free.

How do you remove power steering pulley to be able to replace tension belt?

I have never seenan engine where removing the power steering pulley was required to replace the belt. I could give you instructions on replacing the belt on your vehicle if I knew what kind of car we were talking about. (Year, Make, Model, and Engine Size)

Power steering belt needs to be replaced and tightened, how do i do it?

The belt is changed by loosening the power steering pump at the adjustment bolt and also the pivot bolt: The following instructions tell you how to remove the whole power steering pump, but you just have to adjust the tension with it.

A long pry bar might help to tighten the tension until there is like 1/2" to 3/4" deflection in the middle of the belt between two pulleys, and when running there doesn't appear to be a lot of play in the appearance of the belt while the pulleys are rotating, and that when the steering wheel is turned, you don't hear any squealing indicating a slipping of the drive belt.

Good luck on this repair:

  1. Remove the hoses at the pump and tape the openings shut to prevent leakage.
  2. Remove the pump drive belt.
  3. Remove the retaining bolts, any braces and the pump.
  4. If a new pump is being installed, and the pulley is being transferred, a puller is necessary to remove the pulley. To install:
  5. Torque hose fittings to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm). Fill the reservoir with approved power steering fluid and turn the pump backward (counterclockwise as viewed from in front) until bubbles no longer appear in the reservoir.
  6. Any time the pump is removed, air must be bled from the system upon reinstallation. Bleed the system as described in the next procedure. Fig. 1: Exploded view of the power steering pump assembly 85848076.gif

How do you replace power steering belts?

Nice ride!! An oldie, but goodie. Should be easy to change the power steering belt on this one. Just loosen the mounting bolt and the adjusting bolt and push the pump toward the engine. That will loosen tension and allow you to remove the belt. Put the new belt on and move the pump out away from engine. You may have use something as a lever to help put the proper tension on, and while holding tension, tighten the mounting and adjustment bolts down. Proper tension is 1/4" deflection at the midway point on the belt. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Timing diagram

You have Nissan's VG30DE engine in your car. If you go to (Twin Turbo Z's of Dallas), you'll find Tech articles for the 300ZX (the non-turbo version is the same engine that you have). One of the articles is the full timing belt service job. I believe it was done on a twin turbo, but for purposes of the timing system, the turbo and non-turbo are the same. It'll give you all the info, pictures, tool lists, and step by step instructions that you could want or need.

Just did mine today.....Jack up the front as high as possible, remove front passenger wheel, put jackstands under car so it doesn't come down on you, remove the plastic inside fender well by taking out the 2 bolts and 3 plastic toggles, you need to remove the alternator belt to get to the power steering belt so loosen the center nut on the idler pulley/tensioner and then loosen the idler using the bottom nut/bolt to take the tension off the belt, remove the alternator belt first drawing a picture of how the belt is routed on all the pulleys for reassembly. Now loosen the 2 face nuts/bolts on the power steering belt idler pulley/tensioner and then use the nut/bolt on it's bottom to take the tesion off the belt and then remove the belt. Reinstall the belt and reverse everything to get it back together. Put on a new alternator belt on while your at it.
