The air is not getting cold in my 2003 dodge ram 2500. When I run a check the high side is 100 psi and the low side is 40 psi. There is frost on the high side tube coming out of the firewall.

What is the ac range pressure for a dodge ram 2500 07 6.7?

28-32 PSI low side, high side can go as high as 350 PSI depends on the heat load and humidity. The low side pressure is the important one.

My 2003 dodge 2500 has air condition issues.at idle it blows cold air as long as it sitting still.as soon as I start down the road and drive a few miles the air stops blowing cold.HELP

On a vehicle 11 years old, I would say
put gauges on it & then leak test it.
Most likely has a leak & is low on refrigerant
& when you move ,you put too many BTU's across
the evaporator from the cabin & it is not at 40 degress
to remove the heat

2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with Air Conditioner Trouble.

the suction press. should go down when the compressor is running - with engine off - press. should be more than 65 psi - closer to 100 psi - the bottle connection should connect only to the low side - if the press. increases the discharge side is building a lot of press. - radiator fan not running or a lot of trash/ bugs on front of condensor could build press. - valves in compressor could bleed press. over , but usually the press. will not drop or increase

On my 1995 Dodge Ram When I turn the A/C On it dosent seem to kick in and get cold just warm air?

In most cases, the problem is the system is low on refrigerant. The AC compressor requires a minimum of 20psi of refrigerant to turn on. There are refill kits available at the auto parts stores. If doing this yourself, select a kit that includes compressor oil, and a refill hose.

RECHARGING AC SYSTEM

  1. Turn the truck on and turn AC on HIGH
  2. Locate the low side AC line (will have a valve and cap similar to the cap on a tire)
  3. Insert the oil or R-134A can to the hose (Do not turn the screw to puncture the can yet)
  4. Insert the other end of the refill hose to the low side valve
  5. Puncture the R-134A can with the screw on the refill hose
  6. You should feel the system suction the refrigerant out of the can
  7. Check for frost on the AC lines and the air blowing inside the truck
  8. If frost develops and the air is cold, you've successfully recharged the system and disconnect the refill hose. DO NOT ADD MORE REFRIGERANT...overcharging the system will damage your compressor and will be less effective
Hopefully this answers your question and you're able to get your AC working again. Best of luck.
