2000 kia sportage. no start no spark no injector pulse.

I have a 2000 2.0 kia sportage. I was on the road when it died. I have no start no spark no injector pulse. I changed the crank sensor with no help. Is there a way to test the cam sensor on the car? How often do the computers go bad? My OBDll scanner has no codes and no history. Any ideas? Thank you bk1990

Check both of your fuse panels for a blown fuse. there's 4-5 that control the fuel pump, engine sensors, fuel injectors and such. one of those may be blown and not letting the rest of the system function. one panel is located under hood, and one is under the dash on drivers side. when you take the covers off they have the fuses numbered and tell what they control.

2000 kia sportage. 190,000 miles. Cylinders 1 and 3 misfire an one random misfire. Had new spark plugs an wires done 8 months ago. What could be the problem?

misfires are normally faulty injectors
run a quality injector through the system or have the injectors pulled and cleaned

The engine turns, there is a spark, we have cleaned and checked all injectors and fuel line and fuel is coming through but car will not start, Please can someone tell me what else to check as I have r

First check the injectors are pulsing, probe with a led light, test the spark at the spark plug, if all ok check the fuel pressure and the flow. If the pressure is low check the fuel regulator is not at fault , if it is leaking the fuel will go back to the tank. then block off the return hose to see if pump has reserve pressure . don't let the pressure go to high or the regulator may be damaged.

No spark or injector pulse

No spark no injector pulse; check and/or replace crank sensor. This is a common problem on these models. you'll need some liquid wrench. Those sensors can be stubborn to remove as their rubber o ring dry rots and binds them in place.

Will knot start. It gets power to all 4 injector at the same time.

Check the fuel pressure if okay then now you check the injectors if its clicking while engine is being crank over if so its pulsing if not use a noid light on the injector harness and check for pulsing there. If no pulse then your ECM or injector fuse in the fuse panel is blown.Electronnic problem if all fuses are OK. ------- Check power supply to the engine fuse box and the injectors-ECU terminal connections. Many a times the wire here gets shorted or loose causing the no start problem.----- Click this link below for more troubleshooting:-- --------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

No fault codes but no spark or fuel pump operation

if you have NO spark NO injection pulse suspect a Camshaft Position Sensor(CMP), that is the sensor that tells the computer your ignition firing and timing and pulse width for your injectors once it has received a signal from your Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) the 2 sensors work together to achieve the correct combination for start up
