Question about 1992 Toyota Celica

1 Answer

My constant power wire wont work

I had my cars radio up and working just fine, with some speakers I had lying around. After a day or two I decided to test my luck and find out the combination for the speaker wires and in my tests my radio turned off.

After some testing I realized that my constant power wasn't working.
can some one please tell me what the problem might be and if I'd have to install a new one.

Check all your fuses you could have blown one
some radios have fuse in rear of radio near connectors also
or you could have dammaged radio &-or other electrical components be careful !!!
some radios have protected speaker cuircuts that turn off when short is detected - reset radio with speakers disconnected or connected back to working order
some radios have terminal pin locations stcker on side of radio or stamped on it if not sure where wires go to what terminals.

2008 F-150 wont start

Radio could be wired wrong. Check the constant and accy power on the radio with a multimeter and make sure you are getting 12V on the constant and getting 12V on the accy only when the car is in accy or on. Also make sure the wire harness is properly wired. This can happen often if the radio constant and accy power wires are wired in reverse.
