SOURCE: replace fuel pump in 2000 buick leSabre3.8 v6

You should be able to replace the fuel pump through the trunk. Beneath the carpet in the trunk should be an access panel. Once you remove that panel, all the electrical connections and fuel lines can be disconnected. Remember to disconnect the negative battery cable prior to service, and to take necessary precautions in regards to fuel spillage that may occur. I hope this helps.

i have a 1995 buick lasaber that was doing the same thing. we replaced everything that we could think of, including the things that are mentioned here. i took it to the buick dealership and they finally were able to find out that it was faulty wiring that connects to the crank shaft censor. they said it is a fairly common problem that is misdiagnosed all the time. hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1997 Buick Lesabre Water Pump problem

THE POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY --- ARRGGH...Not a problem. The power steering pump is held by two bolts. Use a socket and remove the top bolt and loosen the bottom bolt. Be careful not to completely remove the bottom bolt. The PS pump will loosen up enough so that you can push it towards the firewall and you will JUST have enough room to remove the waterpump bolts. Its tight but it will squeeze out.

How hard is it to change the water pump on my 1991 Buick Regal 3.8 engine. It is not leaking but car keeps getting hot, I have changed the radiator

The pump is not that hard to change but if you haven't tried a new thermostat yet then i would suggest that you try that first,it is the most common cause of overheating problems, next being the rad fan it's self not coming on either because of a bad motor or a temperature sensor failure or a defective relay.Let me know what you have eliminated and we can go on from there.

1995 buick lesabre limited, oil gauge issue

Could be two things, your oil pump pick tube is clog, oil pan would have to be drop to check, or your camshaft bearing worn causing low oil pressure,I would not say piston rod bearing or main bearing, cause there's no knock noise. You will have better oil pressure when cold due to oil much thicker. so I would forget about a bad oil pump.

1995 Buick LeSabre with a leaking water pump.

The water pump removal is a breeze on this vehicle. First remove your four bolts that hold the pully to the pump, then remove the serpentine belt. Next remove all bolts from water pump, now the fun part, pry the housing of the water pump off gently trying not to nick or gouge the engines placement for the housing. now all you have to do is make sure the housing is clean of all debris or old gasket material, you wouldnt want any of that gunk getting inside. nowplace your gasket properly on new water pump and place on housing. make sure the gasket fits nicely. reinstall pully to water pumy, reinstall your serpentine belt, place new antifreeze, I prefer the peak green full strength, make sure to mix correctly also. start engine let run for 5- 10 minutes and then let cool down and check levels. hope this helps.
