Question about 2001 BMW 330
I thought I found a consistent reason for this. seemed like any time my fuel light would come on; after filling up the tank it would do it the next time I started it. after starting it a couple of times it stopped doing it - I thought maybe I was stirring up something in my tank. I never let the light come on any more and it still does it very randomly no matter if the engine is hot or cold. I consistenly use premium gas as the manual says. could I have something in my tank that randomly sticks to the fuel pump/filter? I have found a hole in a hose coming off the air intake going to the engine. could this affect it? My service engine soon light stays on and the codes come back as fuel misfire, lean bank 1 and 2, there was about 7 codes from auto zone and I was told they were all related to one another. I need some serious help sounds like. I may just have to take it to have it fixed but I was hoping it was a problem I could fix since maintenance a BMW is usually costly to have it done. I am not a mechanic but can do the basics. thanks for any information
Yes fix the hose that has a hole in it and check the others as it will cause these problems you are describing
