Question about 1994 Lexus LS 400

The cable broke which opens the hood in my 1994 Lexus LS400. What is the best way (least expensive) to replace this cable? Thanks

It broke with the hood up. The cable is frayed inside the car, broke from the door latch. When I look at what the cable connects to under the hood, I can't seem to remove the hood latch to disconnect or reconnect a new cable. There are two cooling radiator fans in the front under the metal piece holding the latch. I removed two screws which loosened the latch just a little but can't pull it out to get at it.

Do you know how I would attache the cable to the latch?

If it broke with hood open its not going to be hard to replace it.first you go to auto parts place or dealership buy the cable feed it through the floor board to the hood where cable goes. if hood cable broke with hood down its going to be hard to see or get to the hood open mechanism.through the radiator open under neath the front bumper.

the cable should have a ball of metal at end of it all you have to do is slide the cable down into a clip that holds it in place.

Sounds like a major fuse blown.
Any wiring disconnected or stripped near the pump ?
Have you checked the major fuses around the battery and underhood fuse box ?

Changing a thermastat for a 1992 lexus ls400

Yes, a non-certified person could replace something on the car. The person has to understand what he/she's doing, though.
Best way: open the radiator cap and drain the coolant. Leave the radiator cap off until done.
Place a container under the radiator to catch the coolant.
Replace the thermostat, and refill the radiator.

Can't find the latch to open the hood for a 1990 lexus ls400

Should be a release lever on the underside of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. It should be flush with the panel, so you might have to feel around for it. Hope that helps...!

1994 Lexus LS400 Broken Hood Cable - Hoe could I replace?

you have to route cable along the fender side under the hood like on battery side. you have to run it where it wont get in contact with drive belt.your cable has a ball of metal at the end of it.your hood latch should have a clip where you put your cable in it.you should not have to remove nothing.just drop cable in place.
