Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
I noticed it after installing an after market alarm, but I am not sure if this was the cause, since a couple of weeks passed by until I noticed. It will not work. When I press the switch, not even the indicator light goes on. Fuses are ok.
Sounds like the control switch on the steering wheel has gone bad. Check the connector to the Cruise Control actuator located under the hood & inspect the pins/connections. Any corrosion or signs of over-heating? If not, most probable cause is the control switch on the steering wheel. If not, then take veh to Hyundai Service Center and pay diagnostic fee... they will give you a estimate of repairs (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc), and that way you'll know exactly what's wrong and what's required to fix it.
