Don't bother pumping the gas pedal,it doesn't work on injected cars. When did you last get it serviced?I'm thinking spark plugs.

Multiple cylinder misfires cause engine to die out unless gas pedal is pressed. Will not idle

the fuel smell is from unburnt fuel in the cylinders not firing , i'd have to start with reading the OBD codes to help narrow down the component/s at fault but at a guess i'd think the ign coils are at fault but the OBD will pinpoint the issue

Check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail on the injectors in the engine should read about 55lbs

Car won't stay running

Have your fuel pressure checked sounds like it might be a clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump.If its not within the specs then replace the pump.If the fuel pressure is low i would replace the fuel filter first then the pump if needed.

When accelerating sometimes the car will spit and putter and then often times dies. I will push the gas pedal all the way down and it doesn't feel like I'm getting enough gas. I replaced the fuel filter...

I would have the fuel pump tested by performing a fuel pressure test. You may have a fuel pump that is getting weak. When was the last time your car was tuned up? I would start by testing the fuel pump.

Not getting gas. Every so often the car will not start. Sometimes the engine will misfire then stall and will not start. After a while it will start. Engine cold or hot does not seem to make a difference....

try to measure the fuel pressure by installing pressure gauge at the aceess port located at the fuel rail, or try to direct fuel pump relay to positive volatge, there are two fuel pump relay at dashboard, 1 on under panel at driver side and the other one on passenger side, it is a little bet difficult to access this two relays, one easy step to try drecting fuel pump is through the rear side of your vehicle but be carefull doing this avoid spark, open the cover at gas tank cover, you will see the wires going to fuel pump at tank, take one wire, the gray or the dk/green and direct it to 12v dc, for a moment and start the car, obseve the difference, if same problem, change the fuel pump

When you give the car gas it starts going and then

I would check your fuel filter first. If the car idles fine and drives fine under a little throttle then your filter could be the issue. If this does not solve the problem you need to take a look at the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump. Put a fuel pressure gauage on the car and rvie it. If you see large dips in the pressure it is probably the pump failing. You can put a might vac on your furle pressure regulator, if it holds vaccuum then it is good. I am willing to bet your fuel filter(s) are clogged.

Car dies while driving, now it won't start sometimes

Could be a fuel pump that is going bad. Some times when fuel pumps go bad they cavitate and pump not just gas but also air. If you get too much air in the line and not enough gas the car won't start. Have a mechanic check your fuel line pressure.
