There is a Recall to replace your cooling fan module because of this concern.

Open your hood and look at the black box bolted to your radiator fan by the battery. If it does not have a green dot on it, you have not had the replacement fan module installed.

Contact your local dealer with your VIN handy to verify the recall has not been done and to schedule an appointment.

If the recall has been done, verify if you have power coming out of the module to the fans, as the fans do burn out eventually.... but rarely both at once.

TAKE A PEEK UNDER THE HOOD IN THE FUSE PANEL FOR THE FUSE AND RELAY FOR THE COOLING FAN. IF THE FUSE IS BLOWN THEN REPLACE IT. IF YOU SUSPECT THE RELAY TO BE BAD THEN TEST IT BY SWAPPING THE FAN RELAY WITH ANOTHER ONE WITH THE SAME PINS ON THE BOTTOM. MAKE SURE IT IS THE SAME SIZE AS WELL. HOPE THIS HELPS.. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

Flat battery every morning even though I make sure all accessories are off, heater fan not turning off all the time when ignition off

With hot battery, turn all off, wait 10 minutes and then feel of all relays to see if one is warm or hot. Stuck relay can cause this.

Overheating

There is an open recall out for the 2003 Mitsubishi outlander. It's for te engine cooling fan to be replaced. Just call your local mitsubishi dealership and schedule to bring it in, it's free. It's been an open recall since 2008. I just bought mine and I'm taking it in tomorrow.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander AWD, over heats when idle/stopped, cools down when driving. Added antifreeze 2 weeks ago, problem fixed until yesterday when started heating up again during idle, antifreeze...

Sounds like the electric fan is not coming on. Could be the switch screwed into the radiator, a malfunctioning fan relay, a blown fan fuse or the fan motor has gone bad.

04 mitsubishi outlander ac is not working

What to you mean not working?

a) Air blows but is not cool.
If this is the case, suspect refrigerant leak. Do not operate AC untill it is checked fully. Operating AC with freon leak may lead to compressor failure and expensive replacement.

b) No air blows at all.
If this is the case, suspect blown fuse or burned blower motor. Sometimes is just a fuse or may have a malfunctioning resistor (blower motor works only at full speed).
