NEWER CAR HAVE ELECTRIC FANS THEY DON'T HAVE FAN CLUTCHES,SOME CAR HAVE ONE,I DO BELIEVE,YOUR CAR HAS TWO ,ONE COME ON WITH ENGINE TEMP,BOTH,SHOULD COME ON WHEN A/C IS TURNED ON.HOPE THIS HELPS

Honda 2001 civic replaced radiator, electric fan not working and overheats..why/


HOT WIRE FAN IF ITS DONT WORK COOLANT FAN FAULTY.IF COOLANT FAN RUNS WHEN HOT WIRED. COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULTY OR LOOK FOR BLOWED FUSE AND FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY.WHEN YOUR FAN WORKING AND VECHICLE STILL OVERHEAT REPLACE THERMOSTAT.

2001 honda civic ex 206,000 miles. Overheating. Changed water pump, flushed radiator, changed thermostat, tested fan (good), pressure tested engine (good). Replaced fan sensor connection. Had sit for 30...


the fan is not operating properly
if it is a viscous fan hub( fan clutch ) replace it
if electric fans check the relay/s and coolany temperature sensor for correct operation
chweck all wires for continuity and connection faults

My 2001 honda civic dx wont start


installed a 2004 transmission in a 2001 honda civic but the enginge wont start the fan comes on and the drive light on the gear shift contanly blink in all other gears.

you could have a bad relay. Try googling the location of the blower relay in your particular make and model.
