Question about 1989 Dodge Dakota 2WD
The truck will start shut down then I get no fuel to the carb.5 mins later I can do it again.I changed the fuel pumps and filters sams problem
If it is a carby model you are looking at a rebuild kit, the problem is the needle and seat in the carby, i would install a needle and seat (complete carby kit if you have the time and the money) then to guarantee the job done i would install electric fuel pump if it does not alreaddy have one, this should fix the problem, hope i have helped

DON'T KNOW IF THIS HELPS, BUT TRY CHANGING OUT THE GAS CAP. I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM IN A DIFFERENT VEHICLE, AND IT TURNED OUT THAT VACUUM PRESSURE HAD BUILT UP IN THE TANK, SUCKING THE GAS FROM THE CARB. RESERVIOR. NEW CAP, NO PROBLEM..
