Check underneath for interferences, etc. Look near the transmission. Those transfers had a bad habit of wearing our the splines. You made need a replacement.
It could be any number of things...easiest to most complicated: The buttons on the dash may be bad. The 4x4 computer inside of the right kick panel on the passenger's side. The shift motor on the driver's side of the transmission, to start with. I'd be willing to bet that it's the buttons themselves. I hope I've helped. Remove fuse #15, 10A and see if 4x4 disengages. Your truck has a Transfer Case Control Module that may be what's behind the kick panel. As for the horn and fans not working I can't see a direct electrical connection between them.
