Pumping gas will not help. My guess is you have no fuel rail pressure due to bad fuel pump. Find shrader valve on fuel rail and test it for pressure.

Problem with 91 Camaro RS

You have spend a lot of money on parts, have you invested in a Compression Tester or I believe you have Blown your Head Gasket, Cracked your Head. You are now getting Blow By and it is going into your System.

YOUR problem with your Raw Fuel getting into your Exhaust is due to the LAck of compression to Ignite the fuel.

It could also be a Bent or Swallowed Valve.

A Cylinder Leak Down Test will help you resolve this issue.

Good Luck

91 camaro ran out of gas and will not start now put six gallons of gas in it , and will start when it is primed but will not stay running does it take a while to pick up out of tank

Your fuel pump needs constant gasoline flow in order to stay lubricated.

People who often run their gas tanks to low levels force their fuel pumps to work harder, without the necessary oils in the gasoline to lubricate the bilge.

It sounds like you've burnt up your fuel pump.

Go to your local auto parts dealer and pick one up. You might want to consider also adding a fuel filter as well.

Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helps!

I have 91 Chevy s 10 pick up had the fuel pump

could be the lines stopped up. happends alot due to old gas tanks will have trash in the bottom of them an you let them run low to almost empty it sucks up all that trash. it will clog lines and also clog the fuel filter and or make your pump go bad. check it out.

after about 100,000 miles a rodeo needs new O2 sensors. But this also could be your fuel pump, these cars have the market pumps on them and they go bad very quickly as far as fuel pumps go. Your engine could be struggling to go because it's not getting enough gasoline, or one or more of your coils could be bad and in need of replacing. Get a tune up, I got one on mine and it increased power, MPG and smoothness. You can also get a mechanic to hook up a machine to tell what's wrong with the engine, costs 50-80 bucks depending on the mechanic.

hope it helps

My 91bmw 735 misfires in low rpm and when i push gas peddal it struggles first and then picks up power, its been sitting for 5months with not too much gas in the tank, whats the problem in your oppinion?

drop the gas tank and get it cleaned out, also replace the screen on the fuel pump, your gas tank is full of debris and its restricting the fuel pump from picking up the gas. also, dont buy **** gas, those higher performance cars run better and last longer if you use 91 octane or better, it just burns cleaner.

Will start but will not run in less gas is poured into carbarator

Not getting fuel, if it will only run by adding fuel. With it off, look down the carb and open the throttle, you should see a fuel spray inside. It sounds like fuel not getting to the carb. Probably fuel pump!

On the pass. side fender is you should find the fuel pump relay. Power goes through it to the inertia (crash) switch on the upper part of the pass. side floor board. From there, the power goes to the fuel pump. At the rear near the fuel pump is the fuel pump ground. It's attached to the inner part of the frame as is sometimes hard to see. Check it as well. I've had truck that drove me crazy and would find a bad ground there. I cleaned up the ground and everything was fine again.

Where is the fuel pump located on a "91" volvo 240?

The Volvo 240 has 2 fuel pumps one is a low pressure pick-up pump and is in the gas tank, the other is a high pressure booster pump required for fuel injection. The booster pump is under the car just beneath the left rear passenger seat.
