Question about 1995 Nissan Altima

1 Answer

A/C not working

When I turn on my air conditioning in my 1995 Nissan Altima, No cold air comes out. Compressor seems to be running. Blower is running. I heard there is a filter, or screen in the line that gets clogged from gasket debris after many years and that may be the ploblem. I found the freon hose and it doesn't look like there is any filter there. Where is this filter?

It sounds line a faulty ptrssure switch. find the cylinder where the AC hoses go to and you will see a two wire plug. unplug it and use a small jumper and jump the wires. if the clutch on the compressor comes on, then you have a bad switch. most auto parts store will carry the switch. Never herd of the filter issue

Why would a 2006 Nissan Altima blowing hot air from the air conditioning system?

Look at the front of you A/C compressor with your A/C sent to max. the front of it should be moving with the rest of the pulley, if not you most likely have a leak and it's out of freon. If it's moving and still no cool are careful touch the pipes coming from the compressor, one is you hi side and the other low side. The smaller one (hi) should be warm or hot... the other (low) should be cold and sweating. If the clutch on the compressor is moving and those lines aren't hot and cold then your low on freon.

no it could be air condition clutch that engage/disengage the air condition compressor and disengage it through the pulley or could be the pulley bearings one of them . also check the solenoid that controls that clutch .
have a good luck sir .

This is normal conditions anything that uses forced air heat or cold there is ambient air in the duct work that must be purged out before the heated or cooled air flows.

2002 Nissan Maxima SE - Air condition not blowing cold air

simply "adding a can"is a good way to end up with non-functional A/C. the typical system has high/low pressure switches that enable/disable the system. you need to be at the correct volume of refrigerant as specified on the sticker under the hood. i recommend using the proper equipment, evacuating, pulling a vacuum, and then refilling the system with the appropriate amount.

It is very possible you blew a fuse. There are two 15 amp fuses for the blower motor, make sure you check both of them.

Air conditioning seems always on

you have a bad a|c switch and far as gas consumption goes the answer is yes, because if the a|c is always on then there is a constant load on the engine
