Replaced battery, shutting down also smoke from radio.

You have a major short in your radio or in the harness inside the dash do not run this vehicle until you solve this issue. It is a fire hazard and could possibly cause the battery to explode

I have a 1998 dodge dokota pickup 3.9 liter engine that want start can somone help me?

reset the computer ... by disconnecting the battery competely (positive AND negative) AND LEAVE IT DISCONNECT FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES. Then turn everything OFF in the vehicle (AC, Radio, etc....) reconnect Negative terminal first then positive. Don't crank it yet!! Turn the key to on position and leave it there for 1 minute..then off for 1 minute... Do that 3 times. No crank it up. If still no fire you need and ignition module.. get a refund on the cam sensor..they rarely are the problem.. (even though the diagnostics seem to point a finger at them quite regularly).... One last thing DON'T GO PAYING FOR A NEW MODULE...Call a scrap yard and they each probably have a room full of them.. cost you say $20-$40. Hope this info helps!

Truck broke down no fire.. replaced coil, ing mod,cap rotor.. got fire truck runs... truck down again no fire

I recently had a similar problem. I drive a 94 ram 1500 with the 3.9 6 cylinder. When I replaced the coil it started right up but then cut out and wouldn't start. So I wiggled the wire that plugs into the coil and tried to start it and it fired up again and the next day it wouldn't start. My problem was were the wires connected to the plug came loss. I went to the junk yard found any ram truck from 94 to 01 with either gas engine 3.9-5.2-5.9 and cut the plug off with decent amount of wire and installed it on mine and problem was solved. I also had a catalytic converter problem about 3 months after that was similar but it would start right up and run in neutral fine but when it gear it would bog down and eventually stall. Good luck.

Car will not staart now, it was running at one time, but would cut off while driving.. i have replaced the fuel pump, and filter, plugs, wires, cap, button, crank and cam sensor, and coil.....i find now i...

It may be the ASD relay (auto shut down relay). They are not expensive, and I would replace it and see if this is the issue. It seems you have covered everything else as far as part replacement, at this point, the ASD relay is most likely the issue. Unless there are DTC's stored in the PCM?

My truck back fired & shut down, it would start

you need to determine if your missing spark at the plugs or fuel pressure is below 50psi first
