Change the blower motor your self i think you can get to it behind the glovebox its a little bit of a pain but alot cheaper if you do it yourself

First thing i would check is do you have power getting to the blower
if there is power than you probably need a new blower

if there is no power check the fuses, relay

Not sure which fan you mean. Engine cooling fan is different from heat/air blower fan.

Locate the blower motor resistor on a 1999 dodge durango

most resistor blocks bolt to the fan housing, be causes its air cooled
and must be near fan actual so it always is cooled. see?
i just looked, its there. dead center blower case.(fsm book)
alldata.com
log in and read the HVAC pages.
if fan fails on high too, its not the resistor, because on high
it bypassed.
ah but not if the thermofuse in the resistor block is blown

Blower on AC/Heater doesn't alway work is it the the blower mower or .... Fuse is Ok

Might be the Resistor pack located close to the blower. It has a flat connector with 4 or 5 wires, and two small screws holding in the duct. It may be a crispy critter. It happens... The blower moves air across it to keep it cool. The blower motor may be bad as well, or possibly the fan speed switch. May very well be the fuse for the blower as well. The blower connector may be loose. Let me know what you find.

Fan for ac and heater won't come on but can feel warm and cool air

change out the blower motor instructions below
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Disconnect the blower motor lead connector from the wiring harness connector.
  • Remove the blower motor cooling tube from the blower motor.
  • Remove the four retaining screws.
  • Turn the motor and the wheel assembly slightly to the right so that the bottom edge of the mounting plate follows the contour of the wheel well splash panel.
  • Lift up on the blower and remove it from the blower housing.
  • Installation the new blower motor by reversing the removal steps.
  • Connect the negative battery cable.

    Blower/Switch Problem with Air Flow?

The extra air flow most likely turns the fan motor, check the fuses, check the fan motor switch for power if O.K. check the fan motor for power..

My a/c will not blow out air. You can feel the

Sounds like a blower motor not turning the blower. Could be elecrical. Check fuses that control the blower motor or blower motor relay. If these seem to be okay, locate the blower motor relay and try replacing it with a known working relay of the same style. If the A/C begins to blow, then you need a new relay. If not, you'll be looking into the blower motor or fan. Make sure your cooling fans function while your A/C is engaged.

    Air and heater blower

If you are losing refrigerant (that vehicle uses 134a) there is a leak somewhere. If you are not losing refrigerant, there are several things that you can check.

You say you replaced the refrigerant twice and recharged it twice. Was the system evacuated and recharged, or did you just use a DIY kit.? With 134a too much is a bad as not enough, an overcharged system will not cool!

A bad expansion valve will allow system pressure to build, and will make the compressor work harder, which would account for your feeling that the A/C is taking power from the engine.

A bad radiator cooling fan will do the same thing. Does the radiator fan come on when you turn on the a/c?

The heater control valve could be bad, or the air mix door not working properly, allowing the heater to be actually heating the air conditioned air. If the a/c actually gets warmer than the outside air, then this is what I would look for first! It may be as simple as a vacuum leak in a control line!
