How do I find the Fuse Box on a 2008 Chrysler Sebring?

I doubt the issue is a fuse. If the blower is blowing, then the issue is hot air. You ably need to have your ZC re-charged Freon but first you need it leak checked. Both these require special equipment. Go to a place that does only auto AC. They will know what they're doing.

Air conditioner fuse gets hot and melts 2000 ford focus

Short in the system, check the ac switch. Discontinue use of ac to prevent further damage.

A/c compressor not coming on - electrical systems seems to be working and freon level looks okay???

if freon is ok, check the air conditioner fuse and relay.there is a fuse box underhood, and another under steering wheel it has a dust cover over it. Im not positive about location of relay. but you can always call a auto parts store to find out. auto-zone etc.

Air conditioner stopped working. Could it be a fuse?

Could be a fuse or a freon leak, check fuse under hood at fuse box, on drivers side, if fuse good, check for low on freon, if low that will also keep a/c compr. from coming on, if low recharge a/c system and also, inject some dey, this way if it leaks, you will be able to locate the leak.

My 2005 ford ranger a/c is not working all the sudden, could it be a fuse?

My AC quit all of a sudden and it was a switch in the ac line. It was located on one of the air conditioner lines almost next to the firewall. Looked like a little box. When the p/u was running and the ac was turned on, I tapped it with a screwdriver handle and the ac compressor came on. I think it was a low pressure switch and is supposed to keep the ac from running without any freon, so you might try that. Best of luck.<!-- from fixya rte -->

I have an 1998 GMC jimmy 4.3 motor .my air conditioner quit working so I thought it needed charging .but once I hooked of the canister to refill the aircon I seen the compressor was not turning .so I...

There should be a low pressure switch located on one of the metal a/c lines. It probably has 2 wires. Sometimes it is necessary to 'jump' across this switch to complete the circuit to the compressor until it starts to accept freon and build pressure. This is a safty feature designed to prevent the compressor from locking up due to the absence of oil, which is carried by the freon. Good luck. Dave

Air conditioner not working

First check if the compressor comes on at all when you push the A/C button inside the car while it running. if the RPMs don't move at all, it's probably not coming on.

Also, check all the fuses and make sure they are okay. Your user manuall will give you the location of the fuse.

Next, check the freon level. When there is not enough freon in the system, it will automatically keep the compressor turned off so it doesn't burn it up. One way to see is to add some freon to your system and see if it kicks the compressor on. You can buy a can of freon at any walmart, and you just need a hose to hook up to your "low side" on A/C system and add the freon while the car is running and the A/C is turned on. You will hear it "kick on" when it has enough pressure in the system.

If that works, and a few days go by and it quits, you probably have a leak somewhere.
