Question about 1993 Toyota Paseo
Hello, my 93 Paseo starts every time when its cold but after running it for a while turning it off and then trying to start it within a few mins it will not turn over. All the warning lights come on when you turn the ignition but the car(starter) doesn't do anything. After about five mins it starts with no problem. I jumped the clutch switch but that was no help. I'm thinking something is getting hot may be the starter but it never sounds weak or funny. I'm not sure how to test the starter or solenoid if thats what the problem is. HELP Thanks
The starter won't get hot while the car is running. The starter only works while you are cranking it over. After running a while and the car is hot, feel if your battery is not over heating. If the vaultage regulator in the alternator is bad the battery may be overcharging causing it to over heat and not want to work when boiling. After it cools down it may work again.
I this will help.
