It probably did not fall off. There is a plastic piece on the regulator that can break if in a bind. When this happens, the window just falls into the door. You need a new regulator/motor assembly for the door this happend on. Dealer is expencive. Napa will have it for $120.

The passenger window in my 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer came off its track. How do I place it back on the track?

This is most likely not the track, The window system uses pulleys and cables and the pulleys are plastic and the cable comes off. They are tough to work on. You have to remove the interior door panel. That means getting a door panel tool. Take the screws out that you can see on the arm rests and the trim. Use the door panel tool to locate the plastic panel retainers. They are spaced out on the edges of the door panel. Use the puller to remove them. When the interior panel if removed you can see a plastic sheet that covers the inside mechanics. Remove the sheet and you can see the window parts through the holes in the door. You can then remove the window cranking system. You probably are going to end up replacing the part.

How do you get power window back in it's track, rear upper section of the window has fallen forward.

If you want to do this you need to remove the inner door panel( and maybe a weather barrier). be aware if you have any power options with switches on the door panel they must be disconnected before you attempt door panel removal.as soon as you remove the door panel(usually two or three screws and a dozen easily breakable plastic clips holding it in place) you will be able to see the window lift mechanism. if the window has not fallen completely off track you will be able to see how it is held by the "lift cradle" carefully without letting the window fall down into the door place the window back into its track"cradle" and loosely tighten the fasteners. and reconnect the window crank or window switch temporarily to slowly lift and lower the window while supporting it with your hand (to be sure it doesn't fall off its track while testing it) check if the window is tracking properly. if if seems to slide up and down appropriately and lands into the window seal appropriately then lower the window to a place where you can snug down the window retainers not too tight so as not to break the glass. and replace the door panel. after all switches or mechanisms are replaced test it again slowly to check for appropriate function and if you are satisfied pat yourself on the back for a job well done. i hope this helps

How do you get the driver's door latch out past the window guide?

Remove all screws around the outer edge of the door panel. Carefully pry off the decorative cover behind the door handle and remove the torix screw. Lift up firmly on the door panel to remove. To reinstall, line up molded plastic hooks on back of door panel with notches in the door, push down to secure, reinstall torix screw, decorative cover and screws.
Also before you lift away the panel, you'll need to undo the electrical connectors for the power window and door locks

It is best to get the whole power window regulator assembly from the junkyard, which includes the power window motor. Cost should be no more than $40. Remove interior door trim panel by removing all screws and pulling up on the door panel. Unbolt existing window regulator assembly and slide guides from aluminum window track (you will have to uncrimp one end of track). Installation is the reverse of removal (remember to recrimp aluminum window track after reassembly). I did this repair in 45 minutes, power window worked like new. Good Luck!

Rear power window has fallen off track on 2004 jeepcan the door panel be removed and replaced without special tools

Yes. But it is not as simple as putting the window back on track. Most new vehicles use a different type of regulator (not the old pinion and rack type gear. Most use a small motor that is attached to cables that raise and lower the window. Most often these cables break and the window falls. Pull the inner door panel off and you can verify. If it is the regulator, check out Amazon. Seem to have the best prices and warrantees. Good luck!

How do you remove the door cover to get to the power window device? The mortor works but the window seems to be off the track.

Disconnect your negative battery cable. Locate and remove the screws that hold your interior door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap on clips). Remove the interior door handles, then disconnect the wire clips to the switches. Your panel is held in place by snap in clips; use a small pry bar to pull them from the door (try to get as close to, or directly under the clips to prevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are pulled, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door. Install in reverse.

Drivers door glass replacement 1999 ford contour

The first thing that you need to do is Go to the Auto Parts Store and get some Door Panel Fasteners for your car. You will Break a Few in the Repair. Next, Try and Locate ANY Screws or False Screw Hole Fillers in the Door Panel. Once you have found these Start at the Bottom of the Door Panel and slowly Pull it Off. Once you get it off, Clean out the Track that the Window Sits in with a screw Driver. Put some Clear Silicone Sealant into this Track and Insert the Window from the Top. Press Firmly into the Track and Slowly Raise the Window all the way up. Allow 24 Hours or so for the Sealant to Dry before Opening the Window.
