Where is the fuse for the door locks on a 2001 Ford Focus SE Our automatic locks on the doors and trunk have stopped working. The manual says behind the panel. Cannot locate?

you have to take the two screws out of the fuse block and drop it down and turn it over and you will find the fuse for your door locks under the conection of the wires

I can't locate the correct fuse for the door locks. They won't work with or without the fob.

If your power door locks work with the button inside the car, then it won't be your fuse, but the remote control module located behind your glove box... if nothing works, then it could be a fuse or relay, which should be located under your hood

2000 Ford Focus automatic door locks quit working. Replaced Central locking module, but still does not work. All of the doors will only work manually. Remote works to open trunk only - will not work on...

check fuse 63 first.

Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Binding latch mechanisms
  • Binding linkage
  • Misaligned door
  • Central junction box fuse 63 (20A)
  • Damaged wiring harness
  • Loose or corroded connection(s)
  • Circuit
  • Door lock switch
  • Door lock actuator

It could also be your GEM (generic electronic module) which is expensive as it controls a lot of stuff. A scan tool can be used to cehck for fault codes from the GEM.

Door locks stoped working on my ford focus 2000 and I was wondering what the fuse number was and where it was located..

I think the number is 63 - but it is crazy where it is located. The fuse box is located on drivers side under steering wheel - but you will need to remove the fuse panel as this fuse is on the back side. Remove the two screws holding the fuse panel and fish through the wires and there is a single fuse on the back side - this is the fuse for the door locks. Hope this helps

The locks stop working and the back release stop working and i check all the fues by drivers door and all i could find under the hood is there more

i am assuming you have a ford focus.there is a fusebox behind your glovebox. push in the two sides of the glovebox so it can ride over the two side lugs and drop to the floor.you will see the fusebox. you need to unbolt the fusebox because the fuse for the central loking is at the back of it fuse number 63. change the fuse and refit all the parts. hope this helps.

hi i would start by checking if there is a relay, it seems that there is a delay on the pressure pump that is supposed to shoot the door pins up.

Remote keyless power door locks, cruise control don't work

I am not sure that these two problems are necessarily related. The fuse for the power door locks is located behind the fuse block. Remove the two bolts holdiong the block in and find the one fuse on the back.
The cruise control is usually a brake or clutch switch. Or possibly if you happened to install LED brake lights?
