2005 Dodge Durango - Clicking sound in engine when petal pressed

When its cold the sound is obvious and coincides with the accelerator being pressed. After it warms up its not as noticeable. Friend says it may be the exhaust manifold. How do I know for sure?

If it get faster when you rev the engine and its only when its cold, you could need to have your valves adjusted.

Is the check engine light on? Do you have the tire pressure up to spec pressure? Are you using the correct weight of engine oil? Do you accelerate like an egg is under the gas pedal?

2005 Dodge Durango, clicking noise coming from the engine (sounds like it is coming from the fuel injectors and the fuse box) car starts, runs fine, no warning indicators. Remove ASD fuse??? and it stops.

ASD relay faulty? Try swapping it with same number from other relays & see if clicking stops. I believe there is others same # in there, but might not be. Get back to me if not.
