Question about 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan

Multiple electrical problems-blower,turn signals, abs light

Had several things fail at the same time and I'm not sure if they are related or if it is just a coincidence. First, the heater blower is not working on any setting. Second, the turn signals won't work (but the flashers do). Third the ABS light is on, but I don't feel/see any problem with the brakes. Could this be a fuse or relay problem that connects all three? Thanks!

Turn signals heater

Did all these problems happen all at one time?? If so you may have a bad body ground. Try running a electrical wire from the (-) negative side of the battery to the body and see if this works. Be sure this wire is to a place with no paint as low voltage electricity will not flow through paint.
A). If not try replacing the turn signal flasher for the turn signal problem. This is usually the culprit and it's easiest and cheapest to replace. The turn signal flasher will be found under the driver side dash next to the hazard flasher. Turn the hazard flasher one to locate it. If you want try swapping the turn signal flasher with the hazard flasher to see if this fixes it. They are the same style flasher.
If this doesn't work you may a faulty turn signal switch or some wiring issues.
B). It could as simple as the head lights bulbs need to be replaced, it's rare but I have seen when both bulbs blew at or near the same time. If your able check the voltage at the head sockets.
C). Could be a bad blower motor or switch. I'm not sure if these models have a resistor block or not. The resister block controls the electrical current going to blower motor which controls the speed of the blower fan.

At the same time the ABS trouble light and Brake light came on and all speeds for the fan blower quit (all fuses are OK) Is the a relay or just a coincidence?

The abs and brake are obviously related. Something in the braking system isn't right. The blower motor thing probably isn't related. There should be a relay for each of these systems. Check all the relays. The switch or the motor could also be bad.

On my 1998 Grand Caravan, the ABS light has come on and I know that I need to replace the front brake pads as I heard them squeeling this weekend but also now the front blower stopped working for the AC...

The ABS light is most likely a bad Wheel Speed Sensor.

The Blower is most likely a Blower Resistor that rusted away. You should have a couple of blower speeds left.

The directional issues are the third problem

Work on one thing at a time.

2006 Humer H3, Won't start and electrical resets itself

Check the battery terminals real good.Make sure they are clean and tight.Check and see if any of the side terminals are leaking. As far as the blower motor. It is more than likely that the blower motor resistor is bad.It is located by the blower motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

99 Chrysler Concorde electrical problem

probably a relay. relays control switching of power from one compound circuit to another. because you have multiple circuits that are not working, this sounds likely. get a wiring schematic and find out which relay controls that system, then try replacing it.

Brake/ABS/Traction lights on plus no AC

These problems do not seem to be related at all. The cause of the warm ac air could be several things from a low refrigerant charge to a plugged condensor fins to the compressor clutch not kicking in. You just have to follow a systematic approach when diagnosing these problems.

I have a 99 1.8t Passat with multiple electrical failures

The ignition switch is faulty, typically the contacts burn for the 501 power supply circuit. That is the circuit that provides main power to head lights, wipers blower motor and a few other accessories.

Turn signal not working

Does the light turn on then not blink? Do all signals do the same thing? Front and rear? Left and right? Electrical problems can be found by tracing problems back from the loads and eliminating them each component in the circuit until you reach the source itself (battery).
Example: Start with the bulbs, replace them. It's cheap. Then inspect the sockets, how are the contacts? Corroded? Burnt? Move on to the wiring, broken? Pinched? Disconnected? Next are the relays in the fuse box. There cheap too, replace those. They can be tested, listen for a click when voltage is applied. Check the fuses in the multiple fuse locations, replace if needed. The switch itself should have been the lst thing since it probably set you back about $80.00 and required the steering wheel tobe removed. This is also called a "multi-function switch". It combines several components for easy replacment, but a higher cost, even if only one thing has failed. (Thank you GM.)

No A/C due to electrical problem

Sounds like a biggie here. Never heard of that, all at the same time. It's uncommon. Electromechanic right away. worst thing that could happen, an electrical fire. Multiple shorts in several devices, it's been a miracle what's been saving this car, and yourself from a catastrophe.
