Overheated now it wont accelerate?

Car overheated got that fixed and now it doesnt eccelerate do you know if theirs something to reset or what the problem may be?

When you say got it fixed. What did you get done.

    When a car overheats. Sometimes it is possible that the head gasket can craic. if it is overheating for to long it can go as far as to warp the head. This will give you a severe loss in power. Take off your oil cap. If there is a white pastelike substance on the bottom of the oil cap, chances are your head gasket has gone. Another tell tale sign is the water that feeds the radiator will be really brown and dirty looking.
    If this has happened you will have to take it to a mechanic. Engine has to be completely stripped. New head gasket and the engine block will have to be skimmed if warped. Not a easy repair. Hope this helps you.

The most probable cause, is its not getting enough of fuel, this may be caused by a plugged up fuel filter. Give it gas very slowly. if the vehicle stays running and revs up its a fuel problem, Check the fuel system and filter. God-Bless!

Car wont start, and it doesnt turn over or crank at all but the lights and radio still come. What could be the problem? Is there a short term fix?
The starter is activated with the starter relay. This is device that converts the low amperage signal from the ignition switch to a high amperage circuit from the battery to the starter. If you can find this component in the engine compartment fuse box you could substitute a know good relay to find out if it the relay not working or if it is something else.

Check your idle air control motor. It isn't starting because your not getting air going into the motor, when you press the accelerator it allows air to enter so the engine starts.

Accelerator pedal doesnt go up and down
its a bad cable or linkage but some of them are all elecronic check the throttle body to see if it works & if it does the traces the cable from trottle body to the eccelerator

THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT THE CLUTCH ON THE SIERRA THAT IF DOUBLE PUSHED DOWN IT ACTS LIKE A CHOKE. CANNOT QUITE REMEMBER. JUST LEAVE IT OUT OF GEAR AND DO NOT PRESS THE CLUTCH. THEY FLOOD. i KNOW THIS SOUNDS STUPID. I HAD ONE ONCE AND AFTER ABOUT SIX MONTHS IT STARTED DOING IT. ITS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CLUTCH AND EXCELERATOR AND HOW YOU PRESS THEM. IT MIGHT BE YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE EXCELERATOR AT ALL JUST THE CLUTCH. I CANNOT REMEMBER HAVE A FIDDLE WITH DIFFERENT WAYS OF TRYING TO START THE CAR. CLUTCH DOWN ECCELERATOR DOWN CLUTCH OFF ECCELERATOR OFF. OR EVEN DOUBLE THE CLUTCH TO STOP THE CHOKE. ITS SOMETHING LIKE THAT. PHONE THE DEALER THEY WILL KNOW IN THE WORK SHOP. SAY A SILLY WOMAN SAID IF YOU LIKE. LET ME KNOW.

Oil level perfect, but everytime i eccelerate the oil light come3s on , but goes off when I stop eccelerating
First make sure the oil AND filter are new and the correct type. If so, with the car in park and on a level surface, rev it up and hold it for a little while. If the light comes on odds are your oil pump is getting weak. If it doesnt come on than odds are your oil pick up tube came loose in your oil pan.
