I replaced the pump as the sensor is part of the pump then filled resovoir with fluid and rotated steering wheel to left and right full lock to bleed system. . drove car and light still on

And then checked the fluid again? Maybe just try removing a battery cable for a few seconds to see if it will cancel out.

Did you fill it with fluid?

SOURCE: how to replace fuel pump on 96 subaru legacy

the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank, that tank must be pulled to do this. the procedure for removing the tank and pump are very little changed from car to car, here are a good set of general instructions with photos.

SOURCE: 99 subaru legacy overheats...

it may have a blown head gasket if it keep over heating or there could be just an air lock in the cooling water,, you will need to bleed the air out to stop the over heat as the water is not going around the engine its not opening the thermostat so it cant bleed its self take off a water pipe thats the higest pipe you can find it may have a bleed vent in a pipe were you can bleed it from ,,,top up the rad and header tank take off the bleed nippel when water with no air is coming out and the jobs a good un? run the motor for a time or go for a drive to check its not ever heating again and the heater should by now be blowing hot air,, top up the rad and header tank when its coold down

I have a 1999 Subaru Legacy B4 twin turbo and the engine check light just will not go off. I have tried everything possible. I have checked the air-flow sensor. I have checked and changed the sparks plugs....

O2 sensor. 99% of the time it's these. First, however, go to a parts dealer and ask to have the codes reset. Drive it for about 2-3 days. If it comes back on, give it another day, and if still on, have codes reset and replace O2 Sensor(s).

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

My 99 subaru legacy 2.5 feels like its going to stall when im turning at slow speeds like about to park.

if you are turning the wheel all the way until it stops then you are putting the steering pump in a bind cuasing the engine to slow down more causing the engine to stall ,,, recommend you turn the steering wheel all the way you are going until the wheel stops and then back the other way a little bit to stop this binding,, shoulsd stop your problem

How do i bleed my power steering rack on subaru legacy rs turbo

if its been a week, there should no tbe any air. if its heavy, the rack could be bad, or weak pump????? any noises? air will usually cause a whiney noise, and there will be air whipped, foamy fluid in the pump. A pump pressure regulator could be stuck open, not allowing full pressure? I would have a shop diagnose it, tell them the history and see if they can find a cause.

99 subaru Abs light stays on, there is no obvious signs of wire breaks and fuse is good

If abs light stays on, sounds like a possible bad wheel speed sensor or hub unit/tone wheel. Not sure which one you would have.
